Burris Logistics – Shines in the Sunshine State

MILFORD, DE - Burris Logistics has entered into an agreement to purchase the business and certain assets from Freezing In Florida, which includes a 2.3 million cubic foot public cold storage warehouse, located at 1110 County Line Road, Lakeland, FL.

Burris entered the Florida market in 2001 - by purchasing five cold storage warehouses from  South Atlantic Cold Storage.  Also in 2001, Burris opened a newly constructed cold storage facility in Orlando, FL.   

Presently, Burris is adding 177,000 square feet to its facility located in Jacksonville, Florida.  In April 2003, when the expansion is completed, this facility will have a total of 240,000 square feet with approximately 25,000 pallet positions.

Burris is one of the largest temperature-controlled logistics companies on the East Coast with facilities located in; Denver, PA, New Castle, DE, Harrington, DE, Federalsburg, MD, Lyndhurst, VA, Chesapeake, VA, Benson, NC, Sumter, SC, (2) Jacksonville, FL, Orlando, FL, (2) Lakeland, FL, and Haines City, FL.
