In my region, we primarily focus on three things:

1) People - "Get the right people on the bus. Get the wrong people off the bus, and get the right people in the right seats." Without the right people, we will never achieve our desired results. The "bus" scenario was borrowed from "Good to Great" written by Jim Collins. Once these people are on board, we use some Jack Welch thinking and make sure that we're providing direct feedback so folks know exactly where they stand and what's expected of them. They have got to know how to win. We also add a little fun because I think it's a wasted day if we can't get in a good laugh and have a little fun while we work!
2) Clean and well maintained facilities - Facilities that are kept clean and orderly generally have all other aspects of the operation running well.
3) Incentive systems - Most of my teammates operate under a pay structure that they can change dramatically by their own creativity and hard work. This keeps us all focused on taking care of the customer, being productive and keeping the place clean.
