Burris Freight Management to Acquire Streamline Logistics
ORLANDO, FLORIDA — Burris Freight Management, a business line of Burris Logistics — provider of customized supply chain solutions — announced today that it has acquired Iowa-based, Streamline Logistics.
“We are pleased to welcome the employees and customers of Streamline Logistics to the Burris family,” comments Nick Falk, President of Burris Freight Management. “With six regional freight management hubs, and actively growing lanes, customers and community of carriers, Burris Freight Management supports more than $100 million in brokered freight services as a business line for the larger, Burris Logistics. With the addition of the 10,000-member carrier network established by Streamline across the Midwest, Burris Freight Management will be able to offer existing customers and potential customers more options in transportation solutions.”
Streamline Logistics, a freight broker company, was established in 2001 and purchased by the current owners in 2006. This privately held company handles reefer, van, flatbed and LTL services (dry or refrigerated) throughout the United States, with emphasis on shipments originating or delivering to points in the Midwest. Through many successful years of operation, Streamline was transparent with carriers and customers, engaging in open communication and commitment to service.
“We didn’t strive to be the biggest, but the best,” shares Matt Koch, President/CEO of Streamline. “As a result, with Burris we found a common philosophy and mission. By pairing resources, both organizations are able to achieve a new scale, and expanded market reach while maintaining a culture of good communication, individual attention and strong carrier/customer relations.”
The acquisition will have little impact on the Iowa operation with the current location, contact information, carrier relationships and staff remaining in place. “Our plan is to integrate Burris technology and other resources into the successful systems currently in place,” concludes Nick. “While we are planning a seamless process for the entire Streamline community, we will be bringing the “make it happen’ reputation of the Burris culture to Iowa and beyond.”
