JD Spangler to Lead Honor Foods as New President

Burris Logistics is proud to announce JD Spangler as the new President of Honor Foods, a Burris Logistics Company. JD Spangler, who most recently served as the CEO of Atlantic International Food Group (AIFG), brings a wealth of experience in the food industry, with a proven track record of driving growth, operational excellence, and strategic leadership.

JD will be joining the Burris Logistics United leadership team, running the redistribution service offering to include Honor Foods, R.W. Zant, and Sunny Morning Foods. His unique blend of manufacturer and distributor experience will be of great value to Honor Foods, positioned as a redistributor.

Of course we are sad to see Walt Tullis retire! Walt, over his 12-year tenure lead Honor Foods through several strategic initiatives to include building the state-of-the-art facility in Philadelphia, PA and major acquisitions like Sommer Maid, Sunny Morning Foods, and R.W. Zant. Walt enhanced culture, and made Honor Foods a a highly respected player in foodservice. Walt will continue to advise JD through the end of 2024 to ensure a smooth transition. We wish Walt all the best for the future.

Honor continues to expand its reach and depth as a national redistributor. With increased capability in dairy through Sunny Morning Foods, and new protein expertise with R.W. Zant, we are confident that JD will carry Honor into a new era.
