Strategic Growth: Honor Foods Expands Southeast Footprint with New Orlando Distribution Center

We’re excited to share a major milestone from Honor Foods, a Burris Logistics company and leading force in foodservice redistribution. The company has officially opened a new, state-of-the-art distribution center in Kissimmee, Florida — a major step forward in supporting customers across Florida, the broader Southeast, Latin America, and the Caribbean.

The 156,000 sq. ft. facility is built for scale and efficiency, featuring:

• 32 loading docks
• Frozen, refrigerated, and dry temperature zones
• Three-temperature delivery
• Cross-docking, container palletizing, and case-level handling

This new site isn’t just about more space — it’s about smarter, faster service. The location allows for shorter lead times, an expanded product catalog, and lower order minimums that better serve both regional distributors and local operators. That means customers can get the products they need, when they need them, without overcommitting on inventory.

It also marks the official integration of Sunny Morning’s Orlando operations into the Honor Foods network. Together, their combined expertise represents over 100 years of deep knowledge in dairy and cold-chain excellence.

And it doesn’t stop there. This expansion is already fueling local job growth, with over 20 roles filled and plans to create up to 100 well-paying jobs as the operation scales up. From logistics and transportation to sales, IT, and warehouse roles, this site is poised to be a strong economic driver in Central Florida, including support for the region’s booming tourism and hospitality industry.
